Finance Director - Ref: SCG1521

Enjoying a strong international brand and an impressive local presence, this multinational is well placed to not only withstand the current caution in the market but also to take advantage of new opportunities as they arise. Due to growth in the Asia-Pacific region, this role has been created to bring extra incisive and dynamic decision making to the finance and commercial function.

This is a key role, supporting the Sydney-based CFO and leading a high performing team in an ever changing market. As with most Finance Director roles, you will be responsible for:

• Setting the financial strategy whilst driving day to day performance
• Maintaining effective financial control at a group corporate level
• Refining long-term business plans

The position is equally strategic, tactical and operational –focusing on short/medium term financial opportunity and risk, whilst providing up to the minute financial support to the executive leadership team.

The remit is for a commercial thinker, and an individual who can add value in terms of profitability, liquidity and balance sheet strength. The responsibility is for timely, accurate, meaningful compliant information in accord with business need, regulatory requirements and best practice.

To be successful in this role you will need to have proven hands-on financial leadership experience and a track record of success at either divisional or main board level. You run a lean regime and you are a rigorous change manager, challenging the status quo and putting finance at the heart of the business.
